Removing Soy Sauce Carpet Stains

If you do find a soy sauce stain on your carpet, the first thing you should do is read what the carpet manufacturer has said on the label about removing stains. Thereafter, the following tips can be helpful in carefully removing these stains. Get a white towel to blot the area to remove as much of the stain as possible. Form a solution of 1 tablespoon of clear ammonia with ½ cup of water and spot the area. Blot again with clean towel to remove any excess moisture. Next you want a detergent solution of ¼ teaspoon of dish washing detergent (without bleach or lanolin) with ¼ water and apply that to affected area and if it looks like it's having an impact, keep applying it. Rinse the area (preferably with a spray bottle). Leave to dry.
